By downloading, installing, or using QuillStack ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
QuillStack is a note-taking application that:
- Captures images of handwritten notes
- Performs optical character recognition (OCR) on your device
- Organizes and classifies your notes
- Optionally connects to third-party services you configure
3. Your Content
You retain full ownership of all notes, images, and content you create with QuillStack. The App processes your content locally on your device. We do not access, collect, or store your content on our servers.
You are solely responsible for:
- The content you create and store
- Maintaining backups of your data
- Any content you export to third-party services
4. Third-Party Services
QuillStack allows optional integration with third-party services including:
- Claude API (Anthropic) for AI text enhancement
- GitHub for issue creation
- Apple Calendar and Reminders
- Other export destinations you configure
Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. You are responsible for providing your own API keys and authentication credentials. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security of third-party services.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use QuillStack to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Process content that infringes on others' rights
- Attempt to reverse engineer or modify the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
QuillStack is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Accuracy of OCR text recognition
- Reliability of AI-enhanced text
- Continuous or uninterrupted availability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
OCR and AI processing may produce errors. Always review important content before relying on it or sharing it with others.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall QuillStack or its developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or content
- Loss of profits or business opportunities
- Damages arising from OCR or AI errors
- Issues with third-party service integrations
Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QuillStack and its developer from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
10. Termination
You may stop using QuillStack at any time by deleting the App. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App for violations of these Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
